Dear Experts,
If a person is a partner in a firm , can he/she:
1)apply for proprietorship firm?
2)in how many firm's the person can be a partner?
3) If the person applies for a prop. firm , will ICAI sent a confirmation of the same to the firm in which the said person is partner?

Dear Member,
1. You can apply for the proprietor firm.
2. The ICAI has not prescribed any limitation for the same.
3.You have to make a application in Form 117 to ICAI, stating all the details, its very comprehensive form. Please fill the form carefully.
In how muchever firm,you are a partner or having a proprietory firm will not count for any emplanament like Bank audit, PSU, Government etc.,
In anywhere either in your proprietory firm OR in any firm your name is considered for above purpose.
