03 August 2012 Hi,
I am a student of final (old course) registered w.e.f from sep-2006.Last appeared for final exam in Nov-2010.

To renew my registration , I had sent an application to ICAI,alongwith requisite DD (as was required vide a notification last year).But the letter and DD was returned to me, stating that the decision is not finalised.
I have again recently sent an application to ICAI to renew my registration so that I can appear for Nov-12 exams.
I am awaiting ICAI's response on this.
Can you please tell, if there is anything else that I need to do for my registration with ICAI as the period of my initial registration is beyound 5 years now.

03 August 2012 At present the CA Final registration is valid for indefinite period. There is no validity period of the CA Final registration.

The notification which restricted the registration to 5 years was put on hold and was NOT implemented.

You can fill up the exam form without any problem.
