We are constructiong a shop building for self use. we are purchasing all construction material and contracts are given to different persons for execution of different works as excavation, centring, brick work, plaster work etc. is service tax liable for such transaction?

An Indian CA firm is providing consultancy services to a foreign company to invest in a Joint Venture with an Indian company in India.

Whether Service Tax is applicable for this service provided by Indian CA??

Dear sir,

we are having a private limited company with 2 directors. 3 years back my friend had given us rs. 20 lac as a loan without any interest or agreement by cheque.

which we have paid back to him last year by cash in different amounts by installement within 10 months.

now my CA says that being a private limited company we cannot take loan, and also cannot pay in cash.

Please let us know, how to solve this problem. We have shown in our accounts as unsecured loan.

MY FRIEND APPLLIED FOR CORRECTION OF D.O.B. (WITH nsdl)ENCLOSING A COPY OF HIS MATRICULATION CERTIFICATE. THE REQUEST WAS REJECTED FOR THE REASON THAT THE NAME MENTIONED IN THE PAN APPLICATION IS IN ONE LINE ( FIRST NAME , FATHERS NAME AND SURNAME) BUT IN THE MATRICULATION CERTIFICATE IT IS MENTIONED FIRST NAME, SURNAME AND THE BELOW FATHER'S NAME. AND HE WAS ASKED TO BRING VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE.

MY DOUBT IS SIMPLY THIS CAN A SSLC BOARD OR ANY OTHER GOVT OFFICE CHANGE THEIR FORMAT OF CERTIFICATE FOR THE SAKE OF PAN APPLICATION FORM? OR NLDL STAFF ARE NOT ABLE TO CONVINCE THE AUTHORITIES AS THE FULL NAME IN ONE LINE OR NAME, SURNAME AND BELOW FATHER' NAME ARE ONE AND THE SAME. WHY CANT EXPERTS TRY TO SOLVE SUCH PROBLEMS.
