I am the student of ICWAI-Final. I heared about new Cost Audit Standards (7-12) applicable from 01.04.2010.Is these new Standards are important for June, 2010 final exams?

I have been doing ICWAI Inter Stage 2 under old syllabus 2002.

I am not able to score much mark in Quantitative Methods.

Pls. suggest the Right book and which study material is help to score more mark in this subject.

According to my principal 3.5 years of articleship means 3.5 working years and he is excluding sundays from it, and he says extension of 60 days means 60 working days. I personally think this is utter RUBBISH. he says that he has confirmed this from the Institute. Pl clarify

If anybody is selected as a bank probationary officer & receives a call letter also, & now he/she wants to grab this opportunity i.e. don't want to continue with the Ca course & wants to do a job in bank (suppose his/her articleship is remeining for say, 1year/6months & has not yet passed PCC also),then can he/she terminate the course permanently? Will it be permissible by the ICAI?

Professional Course like CS is not only required your own devotion and hard working but also sincere guidance from your senior (Exam Passout Fellows) or professor/s.In this context I would like to state that as I am a working personal and stayed in Bhutan Where the Educational Surroundings are quite limited and due to my job bindings with the concern(my work place) and communication constraints it is not possible for me attend any Coaching Class in India where we can share our knowledge of understanding of any particular subject/s ; My Queiry regarding this matter whether any such good institute or centre(where you sharp your knowedge) can provide study notes for relevant subjects through NET, for which I will pay. Its required because it may enhanced my confidence when I prepared for examination(both my own study with Study material and good books + Good coaching notes for concept clearance and examination oriented). If any body can give proper information regarding this matter i will be highly obliged as i make my mind to complete the course anyway.

A company has incorporated 100% owned Subsidiary in Foreign Country. Towards, incorporation the company incurd expenses as Registration Charges and Pre Incorporation charges etc.

The company charged such expenses to P&L A/c. Is the treatment is correct?. If not correct, what is actual accounting treatment in this regard. What are the Statuatory Compliances to establish a Foreign Subsidiary?
