Accounting for constuction contract

mr.A is contractor. he made an agreement with B housing society , that he will use societies land for redevelopment. he will give 20 flats to society and will sold 10 flats by owen.

at end of the year the building is 60% completed.

plzz suggest how will he recognise revenue
and profit

Purchase of user licence for operating a software

Hi,

Please suggest whether Purchase of user licence for operating ERP needs to be capitalised as intangible asset in the books of account as per AS-26 or expensed off in the year of purchase?

Gratuity valuation

Company follow calender year as accounting year. Previously it was obtaining gratuity valuation report in December as well as March. Now company want to gratuity valuation report only in the month of December.

Query - How to make provision for gratuity in March?? Also what amount will be considered for dis allowances as December provision was made for Jan to Dec 2012.
