Break during Articleship

I am currently doing my articleship with a firm in mumbai, i would like to know is there a provision, as per the regulations of ICAI, to take a break from articleship for a period of 1 year or so as i have some problems. and then again aftre a gap can i just serve my remaining period of Articleship?

No there is no such provision. The only provision is that you serve your full period and take the extension for excess leave and the balance period can be served afterwards. This entirely depends on your principal.
