If a company has a branch and has only one bank account ...........then how can the exp of both head office & branch handle by this bank ,,,,,,,,,how can be it shown in Tally.............please help me urgently needed...........

11 May 2012 The Bank A/c shall be shown in the books of the head office.

The head office will incur expenses on behalf of the branch from that bank and shall debit the branch for the same.

Any amount received on behalf of the branch shall be credited to Branch A/c and debited to Bank A/c.

However, you should open separate bank accounts to maintain a proper track of receipts and payments and also to avoid problems of reconciliation.
