01 July 2013 Suppose the book closure is fixed on September 23 to September 30 for any FY (say 2010) and a person buys shares of a certain Company on September 22. Would he be treated as a shareholder for attending that AGM.

02 July 2013 He will be treated as shareholders of the company if share shares of the company are traded in market.

Book are closed for the purpose the finalisation of numbers of members for General Meeting.

Any person who hold shares before book closure will be entitled to attend meeting.

03 July 2013 Further suppose shares have been purchased on say September 22 with book closure being on September 24. Delivery of the shares has been given on September 25. Would the person still constitute a shareholder as on September 22. There is a confirmation from DP regarding the execution of order as on September 22.
