08 February 2014 Dear Sir/Madam,
In Income Tax Return (ITR-6) in Schedule PART A- GEN, where we are required to fill particulars of persons who were beneficial owners of shares holding not less than 10% of the voting power at any time of the
previous year.

My question is that whether any shareholder holding 10% or more is beneficial owner or beneficial owner has some special meaning attached to it .

09 February 2014 Well the concept of beneficial owner is that sometimes a the person holding the shares is holding it on someone's behalf.

So if such information is available, such information is to be provided in the ITR.
