12 June 2012 Dear All,

I have raised an export Invoice of USD 100 (CIF) but actual amount realised is USD 80.
My query is in which cloumn the difference amount to be shwon?

BRC Coloumn 9 (Invoice Amt) - USD 100
BRC Coloumn 10 (Freight Amt) - USD 5
BRC Coloumn 11 (Insurance Amt) - USD 2
BRC Coloumn 12 (Commission/Discount) - NIL
BRC Coloumn 14 (FOB realised) - USD 93

FOB amount comes to USD 93 but our realisation is USD 80.My query is where to show less realised amt USD 13 in BRC format?

12 June 2012 Could you mention the reason for the difference of $13? Is it in the nature of discount given by you? or only a part of the payment has been settled by the overseas party??

Should it be discount, show the amount under column no. 12.

If it's part payment, then had better check with the bank whether you ought to wait for full realization or submit the BRC right away.

Let me know the cause for the diff.

The party has deducted some amount towards Product quality issue.We are a exporter of Food products.The said amount is non-recoverable from the customer.

Pls let me know what is the treatment for the said difference in BRC.

13 June 2012 in this case you mentioned the FOB Value Actually Realised in Free Foreign Exchange

80 USD instead of 93.and also received a certified true copy of FIRC from your concerned banker in this case for further reference DGFT / custom provide you incentive on 80 usd and they can also take a verification report in this case.

so please mentioned and explained this matter to banker as well as custom / dgft too.
