Auditor appointment for more than 1 year

29 April 2013 Dear All Experts,
Can Company appoint auditor in a single meeting for a period of say 2 years? or 3 years? i.e. more than one year under existing law?

because there is new provision in companies bill 2012, about appointment of auditor. i.e. company can appoint auditor for 6 yrs. in a single meeting.

Please guide.

No, you can not appoint a statutory auditor for more than one financial year.

The New Companies Bill is not an Act, it is not in force, so we are not in a position to comment thereon.
