28 November 2015 Sir/Madam,

I am conducting the audit of one education institution and they have the newspaper publication also for e.g. Evening newspaper.

The assessee is telling that both are one entity can we set off the loss in newspaper publication with profit of education institution?

The education institution does not have the registration u/s 12aa..

Can it be apply to Registration u/s 12aa even it has the gross receipt morethan 1 crores. the trust commences before 6 yrs?

29 November 2015 if the ENTITY is same, the loss from newspaper can be very well set off with that of educational institute.
