I have cleared both the groups of ipcc in nov2013 exams. i need guildence for articleship to do in chennai. how to approach a firm phone or direct to office? with resume or what kind of doc to take with us?

it is advisable to call first and then send CV which can be further followed by another call. Let the firm call you for interview. then go physcially.

i have another doubt i was born and brought up in coimbatore, ppl tell me that chennai wont suit you because of its climate food and classes. you have to travel a lot. and also ppl tell that firms are better in coimbatore and you would have good exposure than in chennai. im totally confused. is it worth doing articleship in chennai inspite if all the struggles we face???

Well I think Chennai is as bad or as good as Coimbatore in terms of climate...and who knows where you actually serve articleship. with audit clients, we often travel to factory location deep in the hinterland...I am from Delhi, served articleship in Mumbai but often traveled to Gujarat for clients...so these issues should not bother you.
Chennai will definitely offer better exposure and that is something you should be looking forward to.
