Articleship completed in 2000 can student appear for exam

27 June 2012 dear sir,
there is one query related to appearance in exam for ca.one student completed his articleship in the 2000 and aapeared in inter ca exam during that period but failed.
Can that student now give EXAM?
or he will have to again do the training period?
