Principal permission is mandatory to take transfer of articleship. So you have not option except to convince your boss, convince your boss first. If your boss agrees you can make an application to ICAI seeking permission for transfer of articleship enclosing your boss recommendation/no objection for your transfer agreeing to reason specified by you.
