Dear sir,
If a wife got some Rupees as an 5 years Interest on compensation of her husband accidental death from insurance company after supreme court decision. On That case the said amount is taxable or not ?

if the order contains the word "INTEREST", then it is taxable.
Compensation is NOT taxable.
