Pls tell me about the nature of arrear salary received by a widow after the death of her husband for the period when her husband was alive and in service
Woud it be treated as salary or family pension?

Can a widow file the return of her husband's arrear salary as a epresentative assesee, if yeas pls tel me about the requirements and the procedure

22 January 2011 Income will be treated as salary income of her late husband. She has to file return as a representative of her husband.

The return has to file in the name of husband , just below the return she will sign it as a representative.
