can a private limited company appoint a director who is a husband to one of the director of the company without having share capital in the company
Please clarify and please mention the section under which appoitment can be made

if article of association of a private company does not provide contrary, then you can easily appoint him.
note that section 270 (qualification share), 314 not applies to Pvt Cos.

Agree with Mr. Manmohan
There is no restriction in Companies Act, 1956 to appoint a husband as director without share capital unless the company's articles restrict them or having a pre condition for appointment.
