A director can appoint in Egm in private company not like as a additional director.
and the company AOA silent about this matter.

Yes, you can appoint him as director in EGM under section 257 of the Companies Act, 1956.

Additional director will always in Board Meeting.

It is a good corporate practice to appoint director directly in EGM to save more filing and procedural work.

Generally Corporates Follow Appointment of Director in EGM/AGM Only for Having Lesser Compliances.
