Dear Sir,
I have incurred an expenditure of Rs. 125000/- towards private coaching fee for my son, preparing for JEE.
Can I claim rebate under Sec 80C under I Tax act 1961.

Section.80C allows the deduction for tuition fees paid to university,college, school or other educational institution situated with in India and for full time course. as per me private coaching fee will not cover under this category hence not allowed
