IS SERVICE TAX AND VAT BOTH ARE APPLICABLE TO REPAIRS & MAINTAINANCE BILL

Both service tax and vat are applicable only when the repairs and maintenance forms part of works contract. For isolated or single billing without any contract only service tax provisions is applicable as the case may be
