I would like to know the date from which the new service tax @14% is applicable.

05 May 2015 it wil b applicable once it get notified... and we expect it to b in mid may...

so til than use only old rate 12.36

20 May 2015 The Central Government has issued Notification No. 14/2015-ST dated 19-05-2015 (attached below) whereby Service Tax Rate has been notified to be increased from 12.36% to 14% effective from 01-06-2015. The levy of Swachh Bharat Cess of 2% is not yet notified and will be notified later.
