Advance tax and self assessment tax for different financial years shown in balance sheet , why it is shown and when it is to be closed.

It will be cleared after completion of Assessment by passing an adjustment entry against provision for Taxation.
16 October 2014
It can be adjusted after filing return. Only refund due and disputed amounts can be kept without adjustment.
