16 December 2013 let me know briefly what is mean by advance tax who are applicable for that.

16 December 2013 it means tax payable in advance then the actual due date.

it is not applicable to senior citizen not having income from business and those having income less then 10,000

in short excluding above those whose income is estimated to cross 10,000 then advance tax needs to be paid.
