I have a query
i have appointed a woman director as additional director in a listed company on 4.03.2016.
Now, i want to make her as independent director in 30.3.2016 meeting of the bod.
is it possible to do so??

In my view, the answer would be an unequivocal “yes” given the fact that an Independent Director is in the first place , a Director , with the only additional attribute being that as an ID, he has to satisfy the requirements of Section 149(6) of the Act.
