sir,
can anyone tell me the accounting treatment for self consumption of power by a hydro power plant.

Any self consumption in aiding the power generation will be treated as auxiliary consumption and deducted from the gross generation and net generation only be accounted.
Out the net generation any internal consumption not related to generation will be considered as internal sale and accounted at cost.
