08 July 2010 Chezy, What you are saying is absolutely correct, but let me tell you one thing out of my expereince which i saw in account books on one big company.

They have put it as bribe expenses and is shown separately under Fees and subscription account and on asking details about that they said that it is regular feature beacuse the state in which it is working has regular expenses like that.

08 July 2010 CHEZY i dont think you are in practical field. I also had the same approach as yours before i joined my company. But reality is very harsh. I tried to fight but had to give up for company. And what you are talking about? I can tell you many things which can open your eye. But cant say that over here.
But i hope you can bring some change. After reading your comment i really felt very good.

i know nothing will move without a penny...
but its disgusting to talk all this in a public site...
the comments u guys made is encouraging bribe...
professionals should know what they talk in a public site...
beware this may go against you...
also some employers now a days looking into networking sites.. to know your real attitude..

17 July 2010 in my opinion these discussions should be avoided on public domain. whether someone pay bribe or not and how he adjust in his books of account it should be left to him only. receiving, paying or encouraging to pay bribes is an offence and is a corrupt practice under law.
