About income tax refund

17 March 2015 I have client having joint name in agricultural land total 4 to 5 person hold jointly the land. Now GIDC water pipeline goes under their land. They received the TDS certificate for the same u/s 194IB on rent. Now all 4 person claim this tds refund or only first name person can claim the refund.

17 March 2015 if all are the coowners then tds refund shall be in all person who are owners

17 March 2015 in villages you know in one land even 20 person name added than how can i file their return. It is also I have seen in one 7/12 in which 20 person name written but TDS certificate come on first name person only. because in TDS name of only one person written.

17 March 2015 if there is only 1 certificate issued in such case then others can in no case get the refund so better is allow 1st person to claim refund but he must give other co-owners their share from his pocket
