A Logic behind numbering of standards on auditing

Dear all,
On what basis did they numbered standards on auditing?
Any logic behind that?
Is there any easy way to remember the entire thing?

No any logic for numbering the standards. As and when the need is felt, the standard is devised.
I will ask you a simple question.....how do you remember our national anthem? or for that matter how do you remember the mathematical tables from say 2 to 30?.....
See the simple answer is daily sing the anthem or daily recite the tables and in due course of time, you by hearted the same, that too for life time......Apply the same to standards.....make a chart containing the number and the title of the standard. Daily read the same......Hardly within 30 days, a stage will come where you will start remembering each and every word of it.....
