Hi, I got an email from I-T department raising demand under section 1431a for outstanding for assesment year 2012-13. But i have paid all the taxes and filed the return for that assessment year as well. I do not know why I-T department has raised it.

U must have to visit the IT department with an application in writing, and all the supporting documents which will show that u have paid all the taxes timely. Meet with the Assessing Officer of ur Ward/Circle and clarify the issues.

first of all check the computation of income provided in the intimation. if there is an error, file the rectification request under section 154 online.
