if we are given the right pan no in the ROI but the AO says that the pan no is wrong given by you it may be cause for defective return u/s 139(9) or not?

section 139(9) is not relevant now as the assessee has to furnish annexure less return of income from assessment year 2007-08 and onwards.In view of the provisions of section 292B the return filed will not become invalid.
