If one partner dies in a two-partner firm, a dissolution deed is generally required. While you don't need to inform the Income Tax Department separately, dissolution details are provided when filing the firm's tax return. The firm's PAN card must also be surrendered to the Assessing Officer for cancellation.

Sir, Whether dissolution deed is required to be prepared if one partner dies in partnership firm having only two partners? and whether any information is to be provided to income tax department about dissoution of partnership on death of any one partner out of two?? if yes, what is the time limit ?

Dissolution deed should be made. Information to tax department is provided itself when you file the return and give details of the partners. No need to provide it seperately or specifically.

Dissolution of partnership has to be informed to Income tax department. Also PAN card of the firm has to be surrendered to the AO for cancellation.
