Sub: Balance confirmation as on 31st March 2012
This is to inform you that we are under the process of yearly closing of books of accounts i.e. for the period ending 31st March 2012. Our auditor's has requested as part of their regular examination that confirmation should be obtained from you of the balance owned by you as on 31st March 2012.
As per our accounts you owe us an amount of Rs.......... as on 31st March 2012.
This letter is not a request for payment and any payments made after the date should be ignored for the purposes of this letter.
Would you kindly complete the confirmation at the foot of this letter. We would be grateful if you would give this request your earliest attention.
If we do not receive your confirmation within 15 days, we would treat the above balance is correct.
