10 October 2014 An individual, while depositing his Advance Tax, through Bank, has wrongly quoted PAN, by mistake.

Can he rectify the same???
If not, then how can he show his advance tax paid to the department?

10 October 2014 You can ask the bank to change the PAN in the challan within 7 days from the date of deposit of advance tax. In case, the period of 7 days has got expired, you can request your assessing officer by way of an application, attaching thereby a copy of challan, to change the PAN.

10 October 2014 I dont find any. Most safe way is to approach assessing office with an application in duplicate and get the application acknowleged by ASK number and receipt in assessee's copy.
