Kindly clarify me what is WCT and when and at which rate it is deducted ?

WCT is works contract, at the time of making payment to the contractor 5% WCT is deducted.

It is under state VAT act(Sales tax).

when you give the contract with labour and material then WCT applicable.
in Haryana if contract value is above Rs. 1 lacs then WCT applicable @ 5.25%
in Haryana if contract value is above Rs. 1 lacs then WCT applicable @ 5.25%
