Dear all,
Please solve my problem
My friend did not file his Income tax returns up to now, but this year he got 5,00,000.00(salary 2lakh +Arrears 3lakh) salary with arrears (regarding 2000-2010) so TDS was deducted in this case another problem was he did not have any proof for his income regarding previous years
So now can he claim refund u/s 89 relief? Or is there any other way
Please give your suggestions

In case he is not having any proof regarding his earlier year's income, how and on what basis relief can be urged ?
