This discussion clarifies the crucial date for considering Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) status. The consensus is that the FCA date is determined from the date of application, not from the completion of five years of Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) practice. This distinction is important for members seeking to establish their FCA eligibility.

Which date to be considered for FCA ? Is it from the date of 5 years completion as ACA or from the date of Application for FCA. completed 5 years of continuous practice as a ACA and after that i did not applied for FCA. Later after 7 to 8 month from completion of 5 years i applied for FCA. Now my question is whether the date of FCA is from completion of 5 years as ACA or from the date of application for FCA ?
