dear sir, please let me know that in balance sheet of a Individual on 31st March i am to show Investment in Shares : I am confused about vale of share stocks in balance sheet , 1. Should I take purchase cost or 2. Should I take market value as on 31st March.
If purchase cost is to be taken then can I include brokerage & other charges i.e. taxes etc. in cost of shares in balance sheet.
Please help me ... it very urgent.

PURCHASE COST WILL HAVE TO BE SHOWN IN BAL SHEET OF INDIVIDUALS AT NET OFF BROKERAGES
