Wen i wil be eligible to appear in CA final

18 November 2008 hi friend,

i have a query reagrding my CA final exam...i cleared my Ca PE2 both groups on jan 2007, nw i have registerd my self for final new course & article ship on 27.03.2008. i was in impression dat i can appear fro ca final wen i complete my 2 yr articleship traing. but as per my registration letter i will have to copmelte 2.5 yrs articleship training.
can anybody help me wen can i appear for my ca final.. i cleared my pe2 exams on jan 07, i registerd myself for artcileship on 27.03.08 & i have opted new course.

19 November 2008 You will be eligible for CA Final exams after completion of two years of articleship i.e, in May 2010 you can appear for exams.

many thanks for your rply... yes i also had the same impression dat il be eligible to appear on may 2010, as all my friend who cleard with me will be appearing on may 2010, but i have only one query then y the registration letter which i have recevied fr, inst. says that il have to complete twon and half year of articleship for appearing to ca final.
do i need to ask a clarification fr dis or it is implied or may be this is the mistake on their part.
plz help me in this.

21 November 2008 Yws, you are write, previously it was two and a half year. But after that President of ICAI announced that now a CA student who passed PE-II exams and completes two year of articleship can appear in CA Final exams. This announcement was published in CA Journal and Newsletter.
