we award a main contractor on turn key basis and main contractor award some work out of this to other contractor in haryana, please advise there is need to deduct the wct of sub contractor through the main contractor, what is the rate of wct, and notification pertain to this

Mr Author,
You can make tds from the payment you make to the main contractor only.You cannot make tds of sub-contractors who are not directly working for you. The tds can be done by the Central and any State govt and public sector undertakings only.Please ensure that you are one among them.The rate of tds is given in the VAT Acts.It is generally the amount liable to be paid by the contractor(depends on type of contract an whether the contractor is under composition or not etc)
