01 April 2013 Hello, I want to start a private escrow business. I have a lot of doubts and queries.

Is Escrow legally allowed in India? Is it allowed only for Banks etc. Can I register a Pvt Ltd Company with nature of business as Escrow. Is there any accredition company or other agency to certify escrow companies for operating in india?

Any help will be appreciated

23 May 2013 Escrow account is legally permitted in India and for that you should be either an advocate or a CA or a person of high repute or a banker or a person on both the parties to the dispute or transaction are ready to keep the money in escrow with that person. For this no certificate from any person, authority or RBI is required
