Well it is great to hear that you want to complete your B Sc-Chemistry through Mumbai University. I would suggest you to visit Mumbai University College where you had enrolled yourself way back in 90s. Please visit them with relevant documents for first and second year.
They will tell you the exact procedure to complete your graduation now.
All the best

Thanks Ankur for your reply, though I did check with university at Kalina but unfortunately none of them could give me a proper solution to my case, since its not a regular case. They suggested I should enrol from the first Year for full time or correspondence. Since i am a working professional its not a feasible option. Please advise

Thanks for sharing your situation! Completing graduation after a long gap, especially with previous incomplete years, can be tricky but definitely possible. Here’s a clear guide tailored for your case: How to Complete Your Graduation After a Gap (Mumbai University or Other Recognized Universities) Check Your Previous Academic Records: Gather all your mark sheets, pass/fail certificates, and enrollment details from Mumbai University. Identify the subjects or years you have already cleared. Contact the University’s Examination/Admission Department: Since Mumbai University suggested starting from the 1st year again, it usually means your previous credits may not be carried forward automatically. But, you can specifically request “Credit Transfer” or “Revaluation/Improvement” options if available. Consider Alternative Courses or Universities: If completing B.Sc. Chemistry through Mumbai University is not feasible, look at: Distance Education (DE) programs from recognized universities like IGNOU, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, or other reputed open universities. Subjects that align with your interest and are easier to complete, like B.Com, B.A. in Management, or even professional courses with graduation equivalence. Distance Learning Options: Many universities offer part-time/distance education courses with flexible exam schedules. For example: IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University): Widely recognized, flexible, and suitable for working professionals. YCMOU (Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University): Good for Maharashtra residents. These allow you to study at your own pace and appear for exams as per your convenience. Re-Enrollment or Fresh Enrollment: If credit transfer is not possible, you may have to enroll afresh but choose a course that matches your career goals and time availability. Look for correspondence/distance education to balance work and studies. Additional Advice: Check the university’s official website or contact their student helpdesk for specific guidelines on re-admission or credit transfer. Talk to an academic counselor if available. Consider online graduation programs offered by recognized universities globally (ensure recognition in India). Summary Table Step Action 1. Gather Documents Collect past academic records 2. Contact University Ask about credit transfer or re-admission 3. Explore Distance Ed IGNOU, YCMOU, other open universities 4. Choose Easier Subject B.Com, B.A., or professional equivalent 5. Enroll & Study Part-time/distance mode for flexibility
