Waiver of late filing fees of tds u/s 234e

15 January 2016 How to delete demand of TDS imposed U/s 234E for periods prior to 01.06.2015? The website of TRACES is still directing the deductors to pay such late filing fees. Can anyone tell any way to cancel such demand without payment of such late filing fees? It is very clear from the case of Sibia Healthcare P Ltd that no late filing fees U/s 234E are applicable.

15 January 2016 in case you wish to get your demand removed on basis of a certain case law, you will have to file the application (rectification application) with the jurisdictional TDS officer for the same. Alternatively, you may file an appeal with CIT-A (TDS) for the same.
