18 December 2013 A person has not filed the return but has partly paid the service tax. So he is declaring the other part payment in VCES.

Its clear from the notification that for the part payment which he is declaring in VCES do get immunity from interest and penalty for late payment.

My question is can he get immunity from penalty/late fees of rs.20000/-for late filing of return???

Yes,...you will get relief from the late filing fees as well...

but the only point is tax should be payable.

and the last day is Dec 31, 2013...

should you have any doubts...pl ask

18 December 2013 SO immunity will be granted for LATE FILING OF RETURN AND LATE PAYMENT BOTH ???

18 December 2013 yes...it will be allowed for the interest and the late filing fees and any penalty on the same....
