21 November 2009 What is the registration requirement under VAT for small dealers? Also what about contractors? Where is the monetory limit is mentioned... in Act/ Rules or else where?

21 November 2009 Registration Requirement is in respect of documents is concern then
1. Pan Card Copy
2. Shop Act Xerox
3. Address Proof of Bussines
4. Address Proof of Residence Address
5. Second Address Proof of Residence Address
6. Photo
7. Rent Agreement or 7/12 Extract
8. Challan of Rs.525 for Registration Fees
9. Challan of Rs.25000 for Deposit in case of voluntarily Registration.
10.Rs.5000 as a Registration Fees in case of Volunatrily Registration Fees

The Limit of Turnover is Sales of Rs.500000
in a fincial year starting from 1st April & ending on 31st

The same rule is applicable in case of Works Contractor

This is applicable in case of Maharashtra Vat Act

21 November 2009 If your Business Turnover Exceeds Rs.5 Lacs or you are Paying Rs.10000/- as VAT Tax.then you have to take VAT Regristration No. in one month in any Financial Year.
