In case of a proprietorship concern suppose there are two concerns AB and CD but the proprietor is same. Vat number is alloted in the name of AB.
Can CD also use this number?
If yes please tell me the relevant extracts?

In case of any query relating to VAT pleases dont forget to mentioon the name of your State.
Normally, the dealers have two choice in this regard:-
01. Show the second business as additional place of business and get separate certificate from the prescribed authority for the second business.
02. Get separate registration for bothe the business.
However, in my personal opinion, the second option does not match with concept of TIN.
Regarding concerned section, please refer yur act (Chapter- Registartion), dont forget to read rules and forms for full calrity.
