What is the % of VAT on scrap sale ??

Ferrous and non ferrous scrap are chargeable at 5% and other miscellaneous scrap at 14% in Karnataka and some other states.

29 January 2012 vide notification no.FD 82 CSL 10(III), Bangalore dated 31.03.2010. as per entry no. 3 of this notification ALL KINDS OF SCRAP and WASTE MATERIAL shall be taxable @ 5% in the state of Karnataka.
