08 February 2010 Suppose a Manufacturing Comapany (in Orissa) engages a civil contractor and supplies to him some material on chargeable basis.

Wheather it would attract VAT/Sales Tax

08 February 2010 In case the material is supplied on chargeable basis, it would attract VAT/ Sales tax. Even in case the material is not supplied on chargeable basis but the amount thereof is deducted from the consideration payable to the contractor, it would still attract VAT/ Sales tax.
