10 August 2020 We have a partnership firm in Hyderabad and have obtained GST number.
We want to start a new division related to coconuts and Pooja items.
Do we have to obtain a new GST number for this?
We need urgent clarification please.

10 August 2020 You can also amend you existing GST to include such business divisions. If existing business is vastly different then it will be better to take a separate GST Registration for the new division of business.

10 August 2020 In my opinion, there is no need to take separate registration.By taking separate registration your compliance will increase as you will have to maintain separate records for two registrations and also
file gst returns,refunds etc separately.
