13 January 2010 If a Central Excise assessee acts as a job worker for another C.Ex Assessee which does not amount to manufacture and the former is Liable for the Service Tax for GTA, is he required to pay 2 S.Ts for the same consignment of goods to the same client?

15 January 2010 Query is not clear. If process does not amount to manufacture two options:
A. If sender is an excise assessee sending goods for job work where he pays duty then exempt under 8/2005
B. If sender is not under excise or for goods not suifferring excise ST payable.

15 January 2010 Assessee X is a job worker giving service to Assessee Y. "X" is Central Excise Registered. The job work does not amount to manufacture. If the goods after job work is delivered by "X", then will "X" pay two Service Taxes for the same consignment ? One for BAS sec 65(19)(v)of Service Tax and another for GTA?
